Lauren Darnall had the hot hand in today's 51-26 victory over the Tilton Rams. The senior tri-captain shot an impressive 6-for-9 (3-for-4 from downtown) for a game-high 15 points. Darnall also proved that she is a defensive stopper as she led the team in steals with 7. Tori Agel gave a strong performance for the Cats as she recorded 4 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals and 6 points on the afternoon while playing a variety of positions.
Greydy Diaz, a mere 5'4" tall, led the team in rebounds with 8, which proves that basketball is a game of heart. Faith Smith '09 was close behind with 6. All 11 players were able to contribute to today's win. Shelby Pillsbury, Emily Tassinari and Bianca Brenz each pulled down 5 boards while Ainsley MacDonald dished out a team-tying 4 assists. Heather Blackwood saw several minutes and was effective at both ends of the court. Autumn Kariuki contributed 8 points, 2 blocks, 4 rebounds and 3 steals while Jillian Fitzgerald, coming off a nagging knee injury, ran the floor well and attempted some nice jump shots.
