The Kimball Union lady wildcats continued their strong play against league rival New Hampton School, defeating them 5-0 on a cold, windy day in New Hampton. KUA junior Emily Webb opened the scoring with a left-footed strike from just outside the eighteen. Fellow juniors Addie Herbert and Nina Quinton added goals for KUA before the end of the first half; both girls created their own chances in the penalty area and did a great job calmly finishing. The second half saw more strong play from the Wildcats, who were moving the ball and communicating as well as they have done all year. Seniors Sophie Bodnar and Kelly O'Leary scored two more goals in the second half to seal the win. KUA keeper Brita Ulf preserved the win with two good saves in the second half. Tori Agle, Lauren Borislow, and Sophie Bodnar assisted on the goals. KUA travels to Cushing Academy on Wednesday, then finishes the regular season with a game at Vermont Academy on Saturday.
