KUA ties Vermont 1-1
The Kimball Union Academy girls varsity hosted Vermont Academy on KUA's family weekend, and came away with a 1-1 tie. Vermont scored first after a scramble in the 18 that found its way to a Vermont foot. KUA answered in the second half when defender Kelly O'Leary scored on a direct kick from at least 40 yards out. Both teams had chances during the closing minutes of the game, including shots that hit the woodwork. After playing two scoreless overtime periods, the tie stood. KUA next faces Phillips Exeter Academy on Wednesday at Exeter.
