KUA traveled to Exeter with five players and one coach either sick or injured, but Exeter was missing key players as well and the result was a very competitive match up. Trevor McDonald scored an unassisted goal late in the second period to put KUA up 1-0, and Neil MacKenzie scored early in the third. Exeter answered with a strong goal, and then both teams had some great opportunities in the closing minutes of play. Drew Wagenfeld moved back to defense for the game and was consistently strong, and Bob Fowler did another excellent job in the KUA net. That said, all of the KUA players who dressed for the game contributed to what was an exciting win.
