Three KUA students were recognized at the national level by the
Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. The awards have recognized teen artists and writers since 1923.
Elena ’25 received a National Gold Medal Award for her piece “Youth,” while Dora ’24 received a National Silver Medal for her work entitled “Little Bird.” Their work was featured at the national competition after taking home awards from the Scholastic Art Awards of New Hampshire, which recognizes young artists in the state.
Additionally, William ’26 received a National Gold Medal for a critical essay.
At the state level, three art students were recognized for their artistic achievement, with Elena and Dora winning the Top Ten in Show for the State of New Hampshire distinctions for their pieces “Butterflies” and “Hidden, Only Me.
