KUA Eeks Out Tight Win Over Holderness

After a miserable start in which they were down by double-digits, the Wildcats were lucky to find themselves down by only one point at halftime.  The squad was buoyed by the stellar play of their bench--Colin Lewis (4 points), Anthony Freselone (3 points), Cam Plume (2 points), Roger Liu (2 points), Kelvin Zhang, Edward Creelman, Charlie Baughman, and Owen Xu--in the first half.  Caleb Nadell (16 points) and Andrew Alexandrescu (14 points) combined for twenty second-half points to keep the game close throughout the second frame.  After a lethargic start, the rest of the starters woke up as well.  Jack Bolg (5 points), Hill Carter (4 points), and Will Haynes (2 points) all notched baskets.  After hitting some clutch free throws to extend their late lead to 4 points, Holderness hit a three pointer to cut the lead to one and had two chances to win the game, but fell just short.

After the game, the team headed up to Coach Hunnewell's parents' house for the annual Hunnewell Pasta Dinner.  It was a great way to celebrate the victory.

The Wildcats return to action on Saturday, February 8, at home against Brewster.
