KUA boys basketball finishes up their weekend tournament with an 84-60 win over Proctor
The Kimball Union boys basketball team returned from their weekend tournament with a win in their second game defeating Proctor Academy for the second time this season 84-60. An undermanned Proctor team was able to stay with the Wildcats midway through the second half, down 7 with 14 minutes to play, but from that point to the end KUA pushed their lead quickly into double figures. Rob Brown continued his scoring prowess with his sixth straight game in double figures scoring 18 points for the night. Matt Price was team high with 20 pts, Quinn Guth and Andrew Hartel each added 15 pts in the winning effort.
A hard-fought loss to host Worcester Academy, 81-76, in the first round gave the Wildcats a 1-1 record for the tournament and pushes their overall record for the season to 5-1 with an away game vs Wilbraham Monson Academy on Wednesday.
