Beneat, Wildcats Top Brewster; Game Suspended

With the rain pouring down during the top of the fifth inning, the umpires suspended play with the KUA Wildcats holding a 15-8 lead over Brewster Academy. Though the game is not an official win, as the teams did not complete the fifth inning, the Wildcats gave a strong effort throughout and were led by senior pitcher Caitlin Beneat. Beneat pitched four innings and had a huge day at the plate, driving in three runs and belting a double and a single. Katherine Lawton and Caitlin Kuzma added RBIs with extra-base hits of their own. Catcher Seana Perkins and outfielder Taylor Soule were also instrumental in the offensive attack, reaching base three times each and scoring five runs between them. Ashley Penney, Mikah Baptiste, and Maddy Haynes also factored into the scoring for the Wildcats, who rang Elva's Victory Bell regardless.
