Wildcats Shut Out the Rams

The field hockey team played a strong 60 minutes in their fight against the Tilton Rams on Friday night.  The ball changed possession several times in the first half remaining 0-0 until the last 5 minutes of the half.  Sophomore Mia Brown (Woodstock, VT) put the Wildcats on the board with a deflection from sophomore Patt Greinacher (Grunwald De, Germany) and senior Kylie Shields (New Castle, NH).  Once the whistle blew in the second half, the Wildcats gained momentum and never let down.  Senior captain Kelsey Pollard (Meriden, NH) and Shields scored 2 goals apiece, Shields and senior captain Miranda Judd (Lebanon, NH) scored one and earned two assists.  Greinacher set up a few more goals and Sophomore Taylor Dudek (Auburn, NH) assisted one.
Sofia DiAntonio (Cornish, NH) made some crucial saves in net both in first half during a corner and in the second half to earn her second shutout of the season.
The field hockey team wants to thank all of the students who came to the game and cheered throughout.  The team is back at it on Saturday at Vermont Academy at 2:30.
