  • Advancement Officer - Alumni Engagement

    The Advancement Officer for Alumni Engagement is a member of the Advancement team who, under the direction of the Associate Director of Advancement, assists in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding alumni donors; serves as an advancement liaison; oversee and assists with special projects and advancement initiatives.

    Job Responsibilities:
    • Plan, oversee, and execute all regional gatherings, special events, and on campus alumni focused events including but not limited to Reunion Weekend, Senior Ethics Day, and Fall Festival/Homecoming.
    • Coordinate and manage both broad-based and targeted print and e-advancement communication including newsletters, stewardship materials, and class notes, including the donor recognition report, and all endowed fund reporting.
    • Lead the planning and execution of KUA’s annual Day of Giving.
    • Oversee the and assist in the management of multiple alumni volunteer networks.
    • Work closely with members of the advancement team to develop and execute a stewardship plan for targeted constituent groups and individuals.
    • Oversee student engagement including SOAR.
    • Other duties as assigned.
     
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years in educational advancement, or a comparable field.
    • Demonstrated organizational and operational skills; superior interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication; attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects.
    • High degree of comfort with the use of technology, familiarity with Raiser’s Edge preferred.
    • Advanced use of MS Office applications required.
    • Ability to work independently and follow established procedures.
    • High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information.
     
    REQUIRED:
    • Some weekend and evening work.
    • Some travel.

  • Advancement Officer - Parent Programs

    The Advancement Officer for Parent Programs is a member of the Advancement team who, under the direction of the Associate Director of Advancement, assists in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding KUA’s families; serves as an advancement liaison; oversee and assists with special projects and advancement initiatives.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Manage and coordinate Kimball Union Academy’s giving and engagement programs with parents, grandparents, parents of alumni, and friends.
    • Devises strategies to engage parent volunteers for annual giving through volunteer recruitment, management, and training.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact and liaison for the Parents’ Association Council to insure their goals and mission align with those of The Academy. Support PAC efforts as they relate to parent engagement and fundraising.
    • Works collaboratively with members of the school’s leadership team and members of the Advancement Office to facilitate relationships and coordinate communication efforts with parent major gift prospects.
    • Coordinate the creation of pertinent marketing materials and scripting for mass annual fund appeals and communications touching all of the above-mentioned constituencies.
    • Plan and oversee events that pertain to various parent and grandparent constituencies, including Family Weekend, Grandparents’ Day, PAC Appreciation Events, Parent Volunteer Training Meetings, and the Senior Class Gift.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of KUA’s annual Day of Giving.

  • Associate Director of Advancement

    The Associate Director of Advancement is a member of the Advancement team who, under the direction of the Director of Advancement will provide daily oversight of development operations including all aspects of donor relations, Annual Fund programs, gift processing and stewardship.

    The ideal candidate should enjoy being part of a collaborative and efficient team. They should be able to make decisions and solve problems to accomplish all goals outlined in the Advancement Plan and value the opportunity to be part of a growing Advancement operation.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Assist in the develop strategies to grow annual fund and major gifts campaigns
    • Directly manage all aspects of Advancement Services
    • Assist with Major Gifts Program including qualification, cultivation and stewardship or prospects
    • Oversee the tracking of all Major Gifts prospects
    • Lead Annual Fund implementation and development by overseeing the execution of the annual giving calendar and assisting in creating data driven metrics by which the plan is created and adjusted accordingly
    • Provide daily oversight of the fundraising operations including systems that support excellent stewardship and cultivation of donors
    • Responsible for insuring timely and accurate gift acknowledgement to donors
    • Serve as the main point of contact for the business office
    • Work with the Advancement Team to create reports for volunteers, Trustees, and staff that are accurate and timely
    • Work with Director of Advancement to develop and assess annual Advancement Plan

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of demonstrated, successful development experience
    • Working knowledge of all areas of development, including major gifts, planned gifts, annual gifts, proposal writing, special events, prospect research, policies and procedures
    • Excellent project management and follow-up skills including strong attention to detail. Accuracy is a must. Proven experience in problem solving and an ability to develop guidelines and metrics to track effectiveness of projects and processes.
    • Experienced and advanced user of Raiser’s Edge, and related tools and technology
    • Proven aptitude for working as part of a team and displaying a sense of ethical conduct that will inspire confidence and motivation
    • The ability to plan and manage the implementation of a variety of complex advancement initiatives simultaneously and to work under pressure to meet deadlines
    • Advanced use of MS Office applications required

  • Learning Center Specialist, Part-Time

    We are currently seeking a Learning Specialist to provide comprehensive learning and support services to students with mild to moderate learning disabilities in a 1:1 setting. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the academic, emotional and brain-based components of learning in adolescence with the ability to utilize assistive technologies and interventions to support their growth. The candidate will also be able to support students with reading, writing, and math content instruction. A graduate degree in Special Education or School Psychology preferred with a minimum of 3 years of related experience at the high school level.

  • Part Time Bus Driver

    Kimball Union Academy is seeking part-time school bus drivers to transport students primarily for athletic events. Additional extracurricular runs may also be available as needed. Typical runs are Wednesdays and Saturdays. 
    Experienced bus drivers with a CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements is required and must be able to provide 10 years of employment history.

  • Part-time Music and Part-time Physics Opportunities

    We are seeking an experienced and innovative music teacher to become a part-time member of the KUA community, teaching in the Arts department and possibly participating in afternoon activities or athletics. Courses will include Instrumental Music, and AP Music Theory along with the direction of our Classical and Jazz ensembles and annual musical production.

    We are also interested in candidates for an adjunct position as Physics instructor to teach one section of AP Physics.
