Cross Country - Coed
2024 - 2025Situated in The Upper Valley, the Kimball Union cross country team has access to its own beautiful and extensive trail network as well as several beautiful trail systems in the surrounding area. The cross country team seeks to create a dynamic and inclusive team culture that promotes a love for running and competition. Coaches encourage student-athletes to develop and reflect on their goals while celebrating their progress throughout the season.A typical training week for the cross country team involves trail runs, a few speed and strength-based running workouts, and two strength training circuits. A focus of the cross country team is to help our runners work on efficient and proper running form, so the team often begins practice with a series of dynamic stretches and running form drills.The cross country team competes against other Lakes Region Schools, ending the regular season with the Lakes Region Championship early in November. Following the Lakes Region Championships, Kimball Union Academy competes in the NEPSTA Championships against a broader range of independent schools.
