Wildcats Fall Short to Proctor

On Friday, the Wildcats took to the field against Proctor Academy. Proctor came out strong with a handful of quick goals. However, KUA was able to make some on field adjustments, working to stop the ball defensively and capitalize on our offensive processions. It became clear into the second half of the game, that the key indicators for controlling the game relied on gaining the draw control and not allowing the opposing team to earn a free position. Although the Wildcats were able to secure 17 draw controls with Lindie Brinkman with seven and Hadley Bethke with six, it was not enough to beat the Hornets.

Offensively, Hadley Bethke led the way with eight goals, followed by Lindie Brinkman with two and Portia Berard and Analena Connors with a goal a piece. Svia Russman-Araya gained three assists for the Wildcats, with Bethke snagging an assist as well.

The Wildcats look to take on Proctor again this coming Wednesday at home on Pope Field at 5:00PM.
