GVS Plays for Janie and brings home a 5-0 Victory.
On Friday night, the Girls Varsity Soccer team played a rainy 5:30 game under the lights on Pope Field against Proctor Academy. The game was dedicated to their teammate Janie Cozzi, who tragically lost her life in a car accident earlier this month. The team and ample crowd all wore blue bracelets that read 'play4janie' and, while off the field, the team wore blue jerseys which read 'Cozzi 19' on the back. The team played hard for Janie and earned a big 5-0 victory.
Following the game was a brief rememberance of Janie's life where friends, family, and teammates shared their favorite memories of Janie.
