    Kimball Union Academy Boys’ Soccer: Friendship, Tradition, Excellence
     
    The Kimball Union Academy boys’ soccer team competes against many of the top teams in the New England Class A and B Prep School Soccer Leagues. In the 2023 season, the team won the 2023 NEPSAC Class B Championship and clinched the Lakes Region League title for the third year in a row.
     
    The boys’ soccer program at KUA offers four competitive interscholastic teams. The varsity team traditionally boasts a diverse representation of players local to the school’s region and from around the globe. In the past 10 years, players have come to KUA from five African countries, six European nations, four Asian states, and six countries representing South and North America.
     
    Many of KUA’s former players have played and continue to play at many top DI, II, and III schools. Recent graduates have played at the following colleges and universities: Harvard, Dartmouth, North Carolina State, Hobart, Trinity, Bowdoin, St. Lawrence, Bates, and Wheaton.

  • KUA comes up short

    KUA Wildcats dropped a 2-1 decision to visiting Brewster Academy in the season finale. After a scoreless first half, Brewster scored two goals in the second half to seal the victory. The Wildcats cut the lead to 1 goal with 6 minutes to play when Junior Bridger Close scored off an assist from Senior Diego Pascual-Sanchiz. KUA ends the season with a record of 4-2. 
  • Early goal is enough

    Senior Tinashe Mtetwa scored off a scramble in front of the Holderness goal just 15 minutes into the match to to pace the wildcats. The Wildcats controlled most of the possession throughout the day but could not find the second goal of the match. KUA outshot Holderness 13-6 and had a 5-2 edge in corners. KUA keeper Cole Gueldenzoph  and Josh Hancock recorded the shutout. KUA is now 4-1 on the season and hosts Brewster on Saturday 11/14.
  • KUA suffers first loss

    KUA led at the half 2-1 with Junior Adeon Muyskens scoring both goals, the first one assisted by Freshman Cabot McLaren. St.Pauls responded with two second half goals to seal the victory 3-2. Shots were even at 8 each with St. Pauls holding an edge in corner kicks 3-0. KUA is now 3-1 on the season and host Vermont Academy on Oct 31st at 2:30pm.
  • Wildcats play perfect game

    KUA Wildcats scored 3 goals in the second to post a 3-0 victory over visiting Proctor Academy. Freshman Cabot McLaren scored at the 49 minute mark on a shot to the upper 90 from 20yards out. Assists went to Senior Max Gesner and Sophomore Owen Lewis. KUA double the lead when Senior Diego Pascual-Sanchiz found a loose ball in the box and beat two Proctor defenders to tap it in. Just 5 minutes later, McLaren was involved again serving the ball to Senior Jay Douglas who headed the cross in at the near post. The back four of Norbu Norgay, Matty Gardner, Silas Nowlan and Adeon Muyskens played outstanding in the defensive third the entire match. Freshman keeper Josh Hancock recorded the shutout, making two great saves late in the match. The Wildcats are now 3-0 on the season and travel to St. Pauls School on 10/24 for a 3:30 start.
  • Wildcats score early

    Junior Sebastian Morris scored just 4 minutes into the match after s scramble in the box to put the Wildcats up 1-0. Juniors Matty Gardner and bridge Close scored just 2 minutes apart to put KUA up 3-0 at the 17 minute mark. The half would end 5-0 on goals from sophomore Tinashe Muhlauri and freshman Sixten Nowlan. Senior Diego Pascual-Sanchiz finished the scoring for the Wildcats for a final score of 6-1 over the New Hampton School. KUA outshot NHS 15-3 on the day and had a 6-3 edge in corners. Assists on the day went to Senior Tinashe Mtetwa (2), senior Jay Douglas and sophomore Tinashe Muhlauri.  KUA is now 2-0 on the season and will host Proctor Academy next Saturday at 3:30.
  • Wildcats win on the road!

    The Wildcats scored 3 first half goals on their way to a 8-0 final in the 2020 season opener. KUA goal scorers were Diego Pascual-Sanchiz (2),  Sebastian Morris, Tinashe Mtetwa (2), Adeon Muyskens and Cabot McLaren. Tilton also scored an own goal after a scramble in the box off a restart. The Wildcats outshot the Rams 18 -3 and had a 8-1 advantage in corners. Goalkeepers Josh Hancock and Cole Gueldenzoph recorded the shutout for KUA. The Wildcats are 1-0 on the season and host New Hampton at 2:30 on October 10th.
