  • Great comeback for the Wildcats

    Trailing by 2 goals at halftime, the KUA Wildcats played a great second half to get a tie on the day.  Aided by a strong wind, Austin Prep kept constant pressure on the Wildcat defense throughout the first forty minutes, scoring two goals and looking for more. The second half, with the help of the wind, the Wildcats created some pressure of their own with runs forward getting into Austin Prep's final third. Senior Mo McBride was fouled in the penalty area, resulting in Junior Summer Combe's scoring the penalty kick to bring the score 2-1. Then at the 55 minute mark, Junior Svia Russman-Araya scored from close range with assists going to Senior Emma Lapsley and Sophomore Addi Hubert. Both teams would have chances during the last few minutes of the match but neither team could find the back of the net. Sophomore Sylvie McClure played a solid second half making 4 saves on 4 shots. Wildcats are next in action at home on Wednesday November 9th at 4:00pm.
  • Strong second half on the road

    Down 1-0 after the first half, the KUA Wildcats played with some energy in the second half to tie Wilbraham and Monson on the road. Junior Summer Combe found a loose ball in the box and finished a nice shot into the far upper corner. The Wildcats would continue to push forward but were unable to get the win. KUA had a solid showing throughout the lineup. New Hampton comes to KUA on Wednesday October26th for a 2:30 start.
  • Fast start helps KUA

    KUA Wildcats scored 3 goals in the first 41 minutes to propel the KUA to a 3-2 win over Proctor Academy. Goal scorers were Juniors Gwyn McGee and Oralee Barrett and Sophomore Addi Hubert. Juniors Summer Combe, May Lillie and Svia Russman-Araya all assisted on the goals. Proctor would score 2 second half goals to keep the Wildcats on edge, but the back line of Emma Lapsley, Addi Hubert, Carys O'Connor and Rachel Sites stood tall the last 10 minutes to preserve the win. Sophomore Sylvie McClure was in net for the Wildcats to record the victory. KUA travels to Wilbraham Monson on Saturday for a 3:30 start.
  • KUA beats Vermont Academy

    KUA Wildcats scored 3 goals in the first half and 3 goals in the second half to beat Vermont Academy 6-0. Goal scorers for KUA were May Lillie (2), Madison LaCasse (2), Gwyn McGee and Summer Combe. Assists on the day went to McGee, Oralee Barrrett, Rachel Sites, Reese Combe and Misora Hashiramoto. The wildcats will host Exeter Academy on Wednesday at 4:00.
  • Tough first half

    KUA allowed 3 goals in the first 5 minutes and never really competed until the second half. Brewster scored 1 second half goal to make the final 5-0. The Wildcats travel to Vermont Academy on Saturday for a 2:30 start.
  • Second half goals lead the Wildcats to victory

    After a 1-1 first 40 minutes, KUA scored two second half goal to beat Holderness 3-1. Juniors May Lillie and Svia Russman-Araya scored one each in the second half with Lille also scoring the first goal of the game. Rusmann-Araya picked up and assist on the day along with Junior Summer Combe and Sophomore Reese Combe getting the other assists. KUA controlled the midfield on the day with Junior Oralee Barrett and Senior Kate French contributing throughout the match. Sophomore keeper Sylvie McClure recorded the win for the Wildcats.  
  • Hard fought draw with St. Paul's

    Kimball Union Academy and St. Paul's School played to a 0-0 draw. Both teams were solid defensively throughout the match with neither team getting a great scoring chance. St. Paul's had a few corners late in the second half, but the KUA defense stayed strong and won a lot of first balls in the air. Overall, a strong performance for the Wildcats! KUA will host Holderness Saturday October 8th at 2:00pm.
  • Solid game for the Wildcats

    KUA Wildcats played a solid 80 minutes versus the Proctor Hornets. Senior Mo McBride scored the first goal of the game at the 40 minute mark when she deflected in a restart from Junior Summer Combe. Just 4 minutes into the second half, the Wildcats doubled their lead when senior Emma Lapsley scored on a penalty kick. A great team effort all day as the Wildcats put pressure on Proctor and limited the opportunities for most of the match. Sophomore Keeper Sylvie McClure recorded the win for the Wildcats. KUA in next in action when they host the St. Pauls School at 3:00pm on Wednesday October 5th.
  • Wildcats get first win

    Sophomore Addi Hubert finished a service from Junior Summer Combe 22 minutes into the match to lead the Wildcats to a 1-0 victory over the Tilton Rams. KUA put pressure on Tilton throughout the day but never found the back of the net after the first goal. Defenders Addi Hubert, Emma Lapsley, Carys O'Connor and Rachel Sites controlled the game and limited the Rams chances. Sophomore Sylvie McClure had the shutout for the Wildcats. KUA travels to Proctor on Saturday Oct 1 looking to keep the momentum going.
  • Tough second half for the Wildcats

    After conceding a goal in the first 5 minutes, the KUA Wildcats played well for the remainder of the half and had a good deal of possession throughout the half. Forwards Reese Combe, Gwyn McGee and Mo McBride had a number of good runs in the attacking third of the field and created a number of good opportunities. The back four and KUA midfields did a great job of containing the dangerous Deerfield attack to end the half down 1-0. The second half was very different with Deerfield taking advantage of a KUA squad that struggled to connect passes and win loose balls throughout the half. Junior midfielder, Summer Combes had a strong game for the Wildcats. KUA travel to Tilton on Wednesday September 28th for a 2:30 start.
  • Tough loss for the Wildcats

    KUA Wildcats came out strong and played great soccer the first 20-25 minutes of the match. Forwards Mo McBride and Reese Combe put constant pressure on the NMH defenders early in the contest. The KUA midfield did the same, constantly shutting down any NMH attack. NMH did break through the pressure and scored two goals late in the first half to take a two goal lead into halftime. KUA clawed back into the game when McBride scored a breakaway goal off a very nice pass from Junior Summer Combe. NMH would score a late second half goal to secure the victory. Corners were 3-1 in favor of the Wildcats. KUA travels to Deerfield on Saturday for a 2:30pm start.
  • Great effort by the Wildcats

    KUA Wildcats put in a full 80 minutes of soccer on a hot afternoon versus the Brewster Bobcats. Brewster took a 1-0 lead into the second half until Junior Gywn McGee scored off a great pass from Senior Mo McBride. The game stayed tied until about 15 minutes left when the Bobcats scored two quick goals back to back. Wildcat midfielders Reese Combe, May Lillie and Svia Russman-Araya played well throughout the match. Sophomore keeper Sylvie McClure was outstanding on the day in her first start for KUA. KUA is back in action on Wednesday September 21st when the host Northfield Mount Hermon at 3:00pm
