• Tennis - Girls Varsity

    2023 - 2024

KUA Varsity Tennis competes in the Lakes region league, playing matches against schools in the New England Prep School Athletic Conference (NEPSAC). Our season begins in March with practices and challenge matches, and we play 1-3 matches per week through the spring. Throughout the season, we work to develop the fitness and strategies necessary to compete in this competitive league. The KUA Tennis Program focuses on individual skill and character development as well as team cooperation and camaraderie with the goal of instilling a love of tennis for life in all of our players.

  • Match vs. Holderness

    Coach Wetzel
The KUA traveling team drove out of the rain and into the sunshine to play our match against Holderness on Monday! It was a fun and pleasant match; Lolle, Grace, and Eva worked hard and played patient tennis to secure victories in singles, and Katie and Brynn communicated very well to earn a friendly win in doubles. Angie played hard through a very long, close singles match, too! The team enjoyed some delicious sandwiches from a local deli after the match along with some excellent drinks and snacks provided by our team parents. Thanks for your support, and we hope to see you later this week at our away match (Wednesday, New Hampton) or our home matches (Friday vs. Proctor, Saturday vs. Holderness).

  • Opening Match vs. Brooks

    Coach Wetzel
The KUA Girls' Varsity Tennis Team had their opening match versus Brooks today! The players took to the courts on a partly cloudy, blustery day, battling windy conditions during their matches. While Brooks took the victory in overall wins, the KUA players fought hard, stayed positive, and supported one another. Special shoutouts go to our acting manager today, Izzy, for her organization and cookie-baking, and to our family supporters for bringing drinks, snacks, and cheers to our match. We even had two KUA tennis alums there to watch today; thanks to all for your stellar support!
