  • KUA loss in OT to Division I St. Pauls

    The team suffered a tough OT loss to St. Pauls in the semi-finals of the Lake Region Tournament. St. Pauls is currently ranked number four in Division I. Scoring for KUA was Mikah Baptiste with the assist going to Molly Flanagan. Shannon Moran was in net for the Wildcats. This marks the final game of the season. We thank and wish all of our seniors the very best.

    The team bounced back from a close loss Friday night with a big win against Lakes Region opponent Brewster today with a 7-1 win.  KUA out shot Brewster 42-9.  Although the game was only 3-1 entering the third period, the team pulled away with a solid finish and four goals in the third.

  • KUA loses Close one to St. Pauls

    KUA lost by a score of 2-0 to Division one power St. Paul's.  The game was close throughout with St. Paul's scoring in the first.  The game remained 1-0 late into the third when KUA pulled their goalie for the extra attacker.  St. Paul's scored an empty netter with just 11 seconds to go.  Seana Perkins had 22 saves on the night.  KUA next plays at Brewster on Saturday at 1:30pm.

    The KUA GIrls Varisty Hockey team defeated Lake's Region rival Vermont by a score of 4-2.  KUA dominated much of the game ending with a 40 to 16 shot advantage.  Scoring for KUA was:

    The KUA girls' hockey team defeated Holderness 2-0 today, their first game after the winter break.  Angelina Tommola scored in the first period with the assist going to Gretchen Dann.  The second period saw neither team scoring.  In the third, KUA finished off the scoring with a goal by Molly Flanagan and the assist going to Olive Scull.  Seana Perkins recorded the shutout with 16 saves.  KUA out-shot Holderness 36-16.

  • KUA Takes Second at Dexter-Southfield Tnmt

    KUA took second place at the Dexter-Southfield Holiday Tournament.  The game was scoreless well into the third period when D-S finally got on the board to make it 1-0.  KUA pulled the goalie with just under two minutes to go and D-S was able to get one last goal on the empty net to make it 2-0.  

    It was an evenly played game with shots and scoring chances about even.  Shannon Moran played in net for KUA and had 22 saves.  

    Seana Perkins was awarded the team MVP for the tournament with her two shut-outs in the previous games.

    KUA is on break and will next play Stanstead College on January 8th.

  • KUA loss in 2nd game of tournament

    KUA girls varsity hockey lost a close one today 2-3 to Berwick Academy.  Berwick scored the first three goals unanswered during the latter part of the first period and second period.  During the last two minutes of the second, KUA scored two of their own.  Audrey Donohue got her first KUA goal with a shot shot from the point, the assist going to her D partner Molly French.  Just over a minute later, Angelina Tommola scored again with assists going to Kyra Russman and Bella Parento.  Shannon Moran played in net and recorded 7 saves.

    KUA finishes off their round-robin play later tonight against Groton.

  • KUA Defeats Groton 3-0

    KUA defeated Groton by a score of 3-0 in the third game of the holiday tournament hosted at Dexter-Southfield school.

    The team scored a goal in each period.  The first period saw Kyra Russman net the eventual game winner with assists going to line-mates Molly Davis and Angelina Tommola.  In the second, Tommola scored with the assists going to line-mates Russman and Davis.  In the third with just over two minutes left int he game, Bella Parento scored on an open net with the assist going to Molly Davis, her third of the game.

    Seans Perkins recorded her third shutout of the season stopping all 21 shots faced.

    KUA held a 26-21 shot advantage.  The team will play in either the championship game tomorrow at 1pm or the consolation game at 11am depending on results of the late game between Dexter-Southfield and Berwixk Acadmey.

    KUA defeated Dexter-Soutfield in a close 1-0 game today, the first game of the Dexter-Southfield Holiday Tournament. The lone goal was scored just under two minutes into the game. Lexi Bartlett netted the goal with a tip-in from a shot from Bella Parento, credited with the assist. Seana Perkins was credited with the shut-out with 17 saves. KUA next plays tomorrow at 10am against Berwick Academy and at 6pm vs Groton.

    In a back and forth game that saw KUA up 2-1 with just under five minutes to go in the third period, Tilton was able to tie up the game sending it to overtime.  Neither team was able to find a way to score in the OT.  Scoring for KUA was Kelly Benson, unassisted for her first KUA goal in the second period.  The team then grabbed the lead on another second period goal from Molly Flanagan with the assist going to Bella Parento.  KUA outshot Tilton 29 to 19.  Shannon Moran played in net for the Wildcats with 17 saves.

    KUA next plays in the Dexter-Southfield Holiday Tournament December 14-16.

    KUA Defeated Proctor in its home opener tonight by a score of 3-0.  Three different players scored for the Wildcats.  In the first, Abby Flanagan scored her first goal of her prep career with the assist going to lnemate Molly Davis.  The second period goal came from Kyra Russman with assists going to Lexi Bartlett and Katarina Maniatis.  The scoring finished for the home team in the thrid with a goal from Ashley Penney with the assist from Molly Flanagan.  Seana Perkins got her first shutout of the year saving 14 shots on the night.
    The team plays again tomorrow versus another Lakes Region team, at Tilton School

  • KUA Girls Defeat NMH 2-1

    Despite outshooting NMH and falling behind by 1 goal early in the second period, the team fought hard to secure the win. A goal late in the second by MIkah Baptiste with assists to line mates Ashley Penney and Lucie Turcotte evened things up going into the locker room. Midway through the third period, Angelina Tommola would score the game winner with the asset going to freshmen Gretchen Dann. KUA dominated the shot category 28 to 9. Shannon Moran had her first start as a freshmen and recorded the win with 8 saves. Next game is against Proctor this Friday at home.

  • KUA Varsity Girls lose 2-0 to Groton

    KUA opened the season with a loss to Groton School, 2-0.  After a scoreless first period, Groton got on the board first in the second and scored another goal late in the third.  Although shots were even, KUA had an advantage in scoring opportunities but could not seem to find the back of the net.  Overall, it was a good first outing with 7 new players, freshmen and sophomores, adjusting to a new team and level of play.  Seana Perkins played in net and had a number of great saves to start her senior year.

    KUA is on the road again this coming Wednesday to play Division I Northfield Mount Hermon.
