Kimball Union Academy has a long history of welcoming international students into our community. Our student body is currently 18% international and includes students from 18 countries including Spain, China, Venezuela, France, Russia, Korea, Ghana, Japan and points across the globe.
KUA's International Student Coordinator
serves as a resource for international students and their parents as well as other students who are interested in the program. New international students experience two orientations at the start of school, the general new student orientation and an orientation designed specifically for them.
We reach out to all students in our effort to share, learn and teach about the countries represented at KUA. Through events like our global fair, international dinners, performances and gatherings we establish an interactive and interdependent community.
Just 20 minutes from Dartmouth College
and in the heart of the vibrant Upper Valley community, our students have access to a variety of cultural events and performances, academics lectures, restaurants and shopping.
Whether through teaching their language to curious and eager classmates and teachers, wearing traditional clothing, sharing films/books from their countries, performing a dance or music piece, or sharing native foods, our students look not only inward towards preserving their cultural identity while in the USA, but also outward towards educating others about their culture.
