Faculty Advising

"My Advisor, Ms. Haskell, is an absolute gem.  I can go to her with any problem or talk to her about anything, and she always gives me perfect advise.  She also acts as a bridge between me and my teachers.  Advisors are also great because they bring continuity to the years you spend at KUA and can offer you advise knowing how you are doing in all spects of your life and over all the years you spend here."—Erika '15

The Advisor Program is at the heart of the Kimball Union experience. Each student is assigned an advisor at the beginning of the school year and makes extensive use of their support. Advisors meet with students both formally and informally to discuss academic issues and are available for support and advice on a wide variety of both social and academic issues. Advisors are also the primary contact between the Academy and parents.

Events students share with their advisor groups:
  • All school meeting - twice a week
  • Formal and informal school dinners several times a year
  • Official advisor meetings - once a month
  • Dodgeball, cookie baking, off-campus food runs.....
