We are pleased to invite you to join us on The Hilltop for Family Weekend, October 7 and 8, 2016. The weekend schedule
is designed to provide you the opportunity to spend time with your student, visit classes, meet teachers, advisors and house parents, and, if you are a parent of a senior, meet with your child’s college advisor. Family Weekend is also a great opportunity to gather with fellow parents, watch an athletic game, view arts performances, and take part in the energy and excellence of this community. Parents are invited to accompany their children to a full rotation of classes held between Friday morning and Saturday morning. The adjusted schedule is designed to maximize parent involvement. Continuing with a tradition from last year, the Admission Office will be hosting an Open House for siblings and friends who may want to learn more about our outstanding academic, art and athletic programs instead of visiting a class with their sibling. This event will take place on Saturday, October 8 from 9:00 – 11:30 am. Please RSVP to email@example.com or 603-469-2100Individual Meetings:
Parents are encouraged to schedule meetings with their student’s advisor who will have current information about progress in all areas of school life. If there is the need for a course-specific meeting with a teacher, boarding parents are welcome to contact individual faculty members directly to schedule a short conference, and senior parents can schedule one-on-one college advisor meetings.
We ask that all boarding students remain on campus Friday evening. Parents are invited to observe classes once again on Saturday morning, as well as attend several parent forums that are noted on the master schedule.
Students are free to leave for the weekend following their last commitment on Saturday. We respectfully request that normal sign-out procedures be followed. Boarders are expected to return by 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11. Classes resume Wednesday morning.
October is typically when New England foliage is at its peak, making it one of the most beautiful and busiest times of the year in the Upper Valley. If you haven’t already done so, we suggest that you make your lodging arrangements as soon as possible. For help with your selection, please refer to our list of area lodging options
Family Weekend is a special time for parents, students and faculty as we come together to celebrate our community and the learning process, showcasing the many talents of our wonderful student body. On behalf of the faculty and staff, we look forward to seeing you in Meriden. To RSVP for family weekend please register online
