Alfred Moody

Warner, NH-Alfred W. Moody, 83, of North Road, died Saturday, November 5, 2016 at CRVNA Hospice House in Concord, NH.
He was born in Henniker, NH on February 9, 1933 the son of Arden and Edna (Wilson) Moody. He grew up at Colby Hill Farm in Henniker, served in the US Air Force, lived in Concord for a time before moving to Hopkinton in 1960 and then to Warner a year and a half ago.
Fred was a mechanic in the Air Force with the rank of Staff Sergeant from 1952-1960. He worked for Pattenaude Lumber, Sprague Electric, HMC in Contoocook and retired from Sylvania after 25 years of employment as a machinist.

He was a former member of the Hillsboro American Legion. Fred liked to bowl and snowmobile.

Members of his family surviving include three children, David Moody of Concord, NH, Debbie Moody and her partner, Gary Young of Warner, NH and Darrin Moody and his wife, Penny Courser of Warner, NH; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Edward and Betty Moody of Bow, NH, a sister-in-law, Doris Moody of Bow, NH, nieces and his best childhood friend, John Brown and his wife, Pat of Henniker, NH. Fred was predeceased by four siblings, “Jack” Moses Moody, Albert Moody, Margaret Mole and Verna Heath.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street, New London, NH.
