Arthur Skip Dudley Hall II

Arthur Skip Dudley Hall II, 82, of Orleans, passed on the eve of Dec 31, 2016 surrounded by family. Born in Cambridge, on Dec. 13, 1934, Skip lived in Medford, Winchester, and summered in Yarmouth Port, where he developed a passion for sailing. At Kimball Union Academy, he excelled in hockey and football. Skip graduated Colby Sawyer College then worked at Abbot Hall & Co. He owned Chatham Yacht Basin, taught boating courses and spent most of his time on the water. Later Skip substituted at Nauset Regional, coached at Orleans Recreation Department and ran the summer sailing program at Areys Pond Boat Yard. As a member of the Orleans Rotary Club , Skip participated in a water purification program in Honduras. He served in the U.S Coast Guard Auxiliary, was member of the Namequoit Sailing Association, a long standing member of the Catboat Association and raced at the Areys Pond Annual Catboat Gathering. At the Cape Cod Maritime Museum he helped to restore the antique Crosby Catboat Sarah. Tough on the outside, heart of gold inside, his other passions include cooking, the outdoors, hunting, skiing, golf and photography. He is survived by his children, George KUA '79, Michael KUA '82, Amy, Seth, Ben, and grandson Alex Cooper, as well as former wives Nancy Eldredge and Sally Warren and Chocolate lab, Boson.
