William B. Butler

William B. Butler 87, of Duxbury formerly of Lincoln, MA passed away at home on July 25. He is survived by his wife Paula Surette, his daughters Karen Butler Molinari and her husband Joseph Molinari of San Rafael, CA, Deborah Butler of Concord, NH and Susan Butler Lehman and her husband Kenneth Lehman of Lexington, MA and seven grandchildren Bradley and Nicole Rehder, Alexander and Benjamin Savard, and Kara, Scott, and Daniel Lehman. He is also survived by his step daughters Jennifer Alabiso and her partner Kimberly Bewick, Edmonton, Alberta, and Jessica McDermott of Duxbury and her husband Jeffrey, and seven grandchildren Jacob, Gavin and Eva McDermott, Grayson and Liam Alabiso-Cahill, Imogen and Julius Randall, and by his former wife Mary Jane Butler of Duxbury. Bill was born in Rockville Center, NY, was raised in Newport NH, and was educated at Kimball Union Academy, Middlebury College, and Dartmouth's Tuck School. He served in the Air Force as a Second Lieutenant during the Korean War stationed in Japan. Bill took great pride in standing up for those who needed a champion. He loved his family and enjoyed skiing, sailing, and golf. An optimist without rival. A time for sharing remembrances will be held at the Shepard Funeral Home, Kingston, MA on July 28th, at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Massachusetts Audubon Society.
