David Cheever
A warm and loving private family celebration of David Cheever's life took place on Tantalus, Honolulu, on July 4. David died suddenly on June 23. No public memorial service will be held, per his wishes.
Carrying on his legacy are Cindy (Glasgow) his wife of 57 years; daughter Jill Wheatman; sons Scott and John; granddaughters Brittany and Nicole Wheatman; Isabel Cheever; grandson Thompson Cheever; sisters Jane Carr, Hingham, MA; Sarah Conaway, Alburquerque, NM; Ann Adams, Sharon Springs, NY, and many neices and nephews. David was the nephew of the late author John Cheever.
The family welcomes contributions to his legacy by supporting causes he held close to his heart; Hawaiin Mission Houses, Hawai'i Architectural Foundation and Hawai'i Public Radio or by cleaning a park and reducing waste.
