Vincent A. Cerasuolo

Vincent A. Cerasuolo, 78, passed away on February 10, 2015 at MaineGeneral Medical Center-Alfond Center for Health. He was the loving husband of Toby C. (Goldberg) Cerasuolo with whom he shared 50 years of marriage. Born in Arlington, MA on March 2, 1936 and raised in Bedford, he was the son of the late John and Rose C. (Spera) Cerasuolo. Mr. Cerasuolo graduated from Kimball Union Academy in 1955. He proudly served in the United States Army and in the US Army Reserve from 1959-1965. Together, he and Toby owned S. Naiman and Sons Wholesale Fruit and Produce for over 20 years. He also was the director for the Kennebec County Emergency Management Agency where he acted as liaison between MEMA (Maine Emergency Management Agency) and FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency). He initiated and directed the local C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team). Mr. Cerasuolo also served on the LEPC (Local Emergency Planning Committee). Additionally, Mr. Cerasuolo worked as a part-time Deputy Sheriff at the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office as well as a Civil Deputy. He was a former parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Gardiner where he served on the Parish Council. He was active in the Gardiner Area High School Music Boosters Club. Mr. Cerasuolo was known as an avid Notre Dame Football fan. He loved gardening, cooking, fishing, Pemaquid Point and listening to music. Above all, he was devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren. Mr. Cerasuolo was pre-deceased by a brother, N. Edward Cerasuolo. He is survived by his wife Toby C. (Goldberg) Cerasuolo, daughters Jean Ritchie and Nancy A. Cerasuolo, two granddaughters, and a brother, John V. Cerasuolo.
