Arthur F. Phillips, Jr.

Arthur F. Phillips, Jr., 86, of Vancouver, WA, died on May 14, 2015 after a brief illness. He was born in Woburn, MA on July 6, 1928 to Arthur F. Phillips, MD and Margaret Gibbons. He grew up in Bristol, NH, graduated from Kimball Union Academy in 1946, and University of New Hampshire in 1950. After serving in the Air Force, Arthur began his career as a sales and marketing executive in the building materials business with Boise Cascade. On June 2, 1956, he married AdaBell Karstrom, whom he met while skiing in Aspen. Arthur enjoyed the outdoors, especially skiing in Sun Valley, and sailing on the Columbia River, and north to Vancouver Island. He was an active member of the Portland Yacht Club for 43 years. Arthur is survived by his wife, AdaBell; their children, Margaret Ellen Clark and Peter Phillips; and six grandsons.
