Ronald Thomas Watson

Ronald Thomas Watson, 83, of Naugatuck, MA, passed away April 29, 2014, at the Waterbury Hospital. Ron was born in Webster, MA, Oct. 9, 1931, and moved to Hanover, NH, with his family. He was a graduate of Hanover High School and received his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Korean War. He retired from Uniroyal-Footwear Division when the plant closed and then became an over-the-road-long-haul truck driver for Ryder Truck Services. He was a communicant of St. Michael's Episcopal Church, where he served as a member of the vestry, was a lay reader and minister of the Eucharist, bringing communion on a regular basis to elderly shut-ins and area nursing homes. He was a member of Shepherd-Salem Lodge No. 78, A.F. & A.M. and enjoyed motorcycling, off-road cycling and fishing with many of his friends.
