Wayne E. Hrydziusko

Jacksonville - Wayne E. Hrydziusko, 57, of Jacksonville, Florida, died of natural causes on December 13, 2019. He was the son of the late Wesley and Germaine Hrydziusko. In addition to his brother Wesley (Windsor, VT), his brother Whitney & wife Jackie (Alpharetta, GA), Wayne is leaving behind many people, family & friends, that loved him. There are so many people to mention, I will say you all know who you are.

Wayne was born on November 29, 1962 in Hanover, NH. He graduated from Kimball Union Academy, and received a B.A. from Castleton State College, a M.A. in political science from the University of Vermont, and a degree in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School. In addition, he was a member of The Florida Bar and completed Harvard University's program in negotiation.

Professionally, my brother Wayne served as a government manager and executive with the State of Florida in several capacities, which included his being Director of Cabinet Affairs for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. More recently, he was an attorney at law, and served as an adjunct professor at Florida State College at Jacksonville, where he taught American Federal Government. A popular professor, Wayne's student ratings included comments such as "Awesome professor," and "Very kind, relatable, and understanding." He enjoyed playing the ukulele, and exploring the state parks of Florida.

Most importantly, I want everyone to remember Wayne as the kind, caring man who was happy to help everyone he knew, whether it was family, friends or people that he worked with. Always remember the joy he brought into all of our lives.

I miss Wayne every day and am blessed for the time he shared with us all.

A tribute to Wayne Hrydziusko is being planned at St. George Island, Florida sometime in 2020. Details will be forthcoming for anyone who would like to participate in the celebration of Wayne's life.
