JV Soccer Plays Hard Match at Proctor

Hastings
JV Soccer Loses Proctor Game 0-5
Girls JV Soccer traveled to Proctor Academy to play their team during Proctor's Family Weekend. Under sunny skies and cooler temperatures, the team played a hard-fought match. The offense led by Lily Wennik, Caroline Sheehan and Lindsey Patten, pressured the Proctor defense, with some great initial attack by the Wildcats. In the midfield, Margot Frost, Athena Werner, and Gaile Hao tenaciously faced the Hornet midfielders. As the first half wore on, despite hard pressure from KUA's defense of Haily McNamara, Nicole Petrescu-Boboc, Taryn Boyer, and Kate Rybakova, the Hornets began to get shots off. Indigo Kopp made a number of great saves in goal, despite playing in tennis shoes! At the end of the first half, Proctor led 2-0. In the 2nd half, Lindsey Patten had an amazing pass into the middle that unfortunately no one could connect on. Helena got several impressive shots, along with Caroline Sheehan's epic boot that sailed a touch high. Subs for KUA, including Briana Angelli, Libby Kotei-Fearon, Nancy Norgay and Maddy Bridge, all joined the fray and made good plays to push the ball forward. Ultimately the Hornets rallied and scored 3 more goals. Final score, KUA 0, Proctor 5. Join us next week home against White Mountain School on Saturday 10/26 at 2:30 pm.
