KUA wins, 1-0, on road against Proctor

Playing against the wind in the first half, KUA struggled to gain ball possession and to attack the Proctor end. The Wildcats increasingly found ways to move the ball across the midline and ended the half with two near misses, one a near miss by Audrey Donahue just above the PK spot. In the second half, and with wind at their back, the Wildcats maintained pressure and finally, at the 20th minute, Vanessa Mateko lasered a shot low past the goalie from the far side. Rachel Sites, Julia Walton, Mo McBride, and Emma Lapsey played well in the midfield. Bella Parento, Casey Allen, and Kylie Mellon defended strongly on the outside and Willa McGough, Sasha Lawton, and Emily Pariseau provided coverage centrally.  KUA (5-4-2) host Wilbraham and Munson tomorrow at 3:15pm.
