KUA Sweeps Holderness

KUA had another dominant showing on Wednesday, defeating Holderness 9-0. Starting things off with singles, Tomas Mazura #1 played strong on his forehand side and stayed consistent on the backhand side to win his match 8-1. Carlos Melgarejo #2 also won his match 8-2. Ethan Crandlemire #3 played defensively making his opponent play one extra ball each point and won his match with a score of 8-2. Bridger Close #4 cruised to his second consecutive 8-0 win. Mario Villarreal Sánchez started off very tentative, but then realized he needed to become more aggressive and won his match 8-3. Jakob Frowein #6 played some great backhand shots, winning his match 8-0. For doubles, Bridger Close had his debut at the #1 position with Tomas Mazura and the boys cruised to an 8-1 victory. Carlos and Ethan #2 continued their dominance as a pair winning 8-0. Andy Lin and Kelvin Zhang absolutely dominated the serving game, helping them win their match 8-5. KUA hopes to take this momentum into their following matches.
