Brewster beats KUA, but Wildcats Qualify for Lakes Region Playoffs

KUA hosted the Lakes Region's top team Saturday and put forth their best effort in the last two weeks. Brewster jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead behind their possession advantage earned by their talented face-off man. Junior Ethan Howell and sophomore Reid Dousevicz scored for KUA to bring the score to 4-2 after 1Q. The teams traded goals in the 2Q with Howell, Chubb (2) and Kezerian scoring for KUA.

Trailing 9-6 at half KUA's lack of possession time caught up with them in the 3Q as Brewster used man-up opportunities to stretch the lead to 14-6. KUA added 3 goals in the final quarter from Kezerian, Howell, and Moe. The KUA defense played great in stretches and goalie, Teddy Griffen made 14 saves.

KUA qualified for the postseason earlier in the week and the Wildcats are slated for a road rematch with Brewster on Wednesday in the Lakes Region Semi-Finals.
