5/4: KUA @ Proctor Academy

The Kimball Union Academy track team had a strong performance at the second meet of the season. The meet was hosted by St. Paul’s School and featured athletes from the following rival teams: Proctor Academy and Holderness School. The events were scored as follows: first place (5 points), second place (3 points), third place (2 points), and fourth place (1 point). 

In the Boys 100 meter race, Roberto Silva-Neto ran a 12.38 (second place), Yohan Do ran a 13.66 (fourth place), and Gene Chang ran a 14.94 (fifth place). In the Boys 1500 meter race, Benjamin Conway finished with a time of 5:25.2 (third place) and Kyle Fuller finished with a time of 5:45.2 (fourth place). The Boys 4 x 100 meter winning relay was run by Gene Chang, Declan Clark, Roberto Silva-Neto, and Kevin Tran. Their time was 55.04. In the Boys 400 meter race, Yohan Do ran a 1:16.3 (fourth place). In the boys 800 meter race, Kevin Tran ran a 3:00.8 (third place). In the Boys 200 meter race, Roberto Silva-Neto ran a 26.82 (second place) and Gene Chang ran a 35.1 (fifth place). In the 3000 meter race, Kyle Fuller ran an 11:43.9 (second place) and Declan Clark ran a 14:23 (third place). The Boys 4 x 400 meter second place relay was run by Yohan Do, Roberto Silva-Neto, Gene Chang, and Kevin Tran. Their time was 5:07.8.

The overall scoring in the Boys Meet was as follows: Proctor Academy (), Kimball Union Academy (), and Holderness School (). 

In the 100 meter race Roberto Silva-Neto earned 3 points and Yohan Do earned 1 point. In the 1500 meter race, Ben Conway earned 2 points and Kyle Fuller earned 1 point. Gene Chang, Declan Clark, Roberto Silva-Neto, and Kevin Tran earned 5 points in the 4x100 meter relay. In the 400 meter race, Yohan Do earned 1 point. In the 800 meter race, Kevin Tran earned 2 points. In the 200 meter race, Roberto Silva- Neto earned 3 points. In the 3000 meter race, Kyle Fuller earned 3 points and Declan Clark earned 2 points. Yohan Do, Roberto Silva-Neto, Gene Chang, and Kevin Tran earned 3 points in the 4x400 meter relay.

In the Girls 100 meter race, Julia Walton ran a 13.97 (second place), Aleena Masaeng ran a 14.12 (third place), and Tess Boden ran a 16.78 (eighth place). The Girls 4 x 100 meter second place relay was run by Julia Walton, Aleena Masaeng, Tess Boden, and Alexis Gray. Their time was 1:00.7. In the Girls 800 meter race, Alexis Gray ran a 3:12.5 (second place) and Aleena Masaeng ran a 3:20.0 (third place). In the Girls 200 meter race, Julia Walton ran a 29.13 (first place) and Tess Boden ran a 37.1 (fourth place). In the long jump, Alexis Gray secured a 13'1" for her best mark (second place) and Julia Walton secured a 12'11" for her best mark (third place).

The overall scoring in the Girls Meet was as follows: Proctor Academy (), Kimball Union Academy (), and Holderness School ().

In the 100 meter race, Julia Walton earned 3 points and Aleena Masaeng earned 2 points.Tess Boden, Aleena Masaeng, Julia Walton, and Alexis Gray earned 3 points in the 4x100 meter relay. In the 800 meter race, Alexis Gray earned 3 points and Aleena Masaeng earned 2 points. In the 200 meter race, Julia Walton earned 5 points and Tess Boden earned 1 point. In the Long Jump Alexis Gray earned 3 points and Julia Walton earned 2 points. Julia Walton was the top scorer for the Kimball Union Academy Girls Team as she contributed to 13 points!

Season's Personal Records (PRs) were achieved by a couple of members of the team in individual events. Aleena Maseng dropped her 100 meter time from 15.19 to 14.12. Julia Walton dropped her 200 meter time from 30.95 to 29.13. Myriad other indivduals tried new events for the first time this season.
