KUA loses hard fought battle to Brewster

KUA hosted the Brewster Bobcats this Wednesday afternoon in search for their first win of the season. The game started out with 5 quick goals by Brewster, however, the Wildcats did not hang their heads. The team fought hard by competing for ground balls, playing tight defense, and staying aggressive when they had their chances. Margot Frost and Helena Heckman helped to shorten the lead to a three-goal deficit. However, Brewster responded with five unanswered goals making the score 10-2. The Wildcats did not quit and Hailey Callahan was able to put one more goal on the board making the final score 10-3. Standout performance by Lexy Gray in her first ever lacrosse game-winning two draw controls and putting one shot on net. Sophomore goalie, Amelia Keith brought the energy to the team with a new cheer and finished the game with 4 solid saves. KUA looks to pull out their first home win this Friday against the Proctor Hornets.
