2019 Cullman Scholars Announced

Created in 1983 by Hugh Cullman '42, the Cullman Scholarship Program supports students in off-campus study opportunities. During the summer of 2018, nine scholarship recipients pursued courses of study ranging from serving as an International Physician’s Assistant in Warsaw, Poland to studying microfinance in Kathmandu, Nepal. Recently, The Cullman Scholarship Comittee, comprised of faculty representatives and the 2018 recipients, announced 2019 Cullman Scholars.

The 2018-19 Cullman Scholarships are:
 
  1. Annie ’20 - Working with Gap Medics as a Physician's Assistant in the Dominican Republic
  2. Gracie ’20 - Serving with International Volunteers HQ Medical Research with Children with Special Needs in Antigua
  3. Gunnar ’20 - Working at Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary, in their Service Learning Partnership
  4. James ’20 - Learning with Global Leadership Programs Foundations of Global Health in Peru
  5. Jessica ’20 - Studying computer programming with Girls Who Code -- Summer Immersion Program in Seattle, WA
  6. Kyra ’20 - Working with International Volunteers HQ Medical Research in Costa Rica
  7. Molly ’20 - Investigating Irish History and Culture in Ireland
  8. Nikki ’20 - Studying Filmmaking and writing at The Berridge Film Project in Normandy, France
  9. Patrick ’20 - Interning in Sports Marketing in Vancouver, Canada
  10. Rachel ’21 - Interning at Jiangsu Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China
  11. Willa ’20 - Studying as a Research Assistant at the Hedonia Lab at Oxford University
