Wildcats lose tight game

Kimball Union traveled to the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame to play the Friends School from the MIAA B conference to open the season. The first quarter saw KUA play next and neck with the B Conference champs. Ethan Howell ‘20 scored 2 goals to keep things tight early and goalie Teddy Griffin ‘20 battled as the young KUA defense garnered valuable experience. 

Trailing 3-2 heading into the second Jay Chubb ‘19 connected on a slick shovel pass from Will Kezerian to tie the score. KUA was able to head into the half tied at 6-6 thanks to a man up goal by Carson Moe ‘20 off an assist from Chubb. 

Friends never yielded in he second despite strong play from the e KUA offense And stretched the lead to 10-8 late in the 4Q. Pressing out to gain possessions KUA gave up two late goals trying to narrow the deficit. It was a highly competitive game that will benefit the team later in the season.
