Peter T. Shallcross

Peter Thomas Shallcross, was born in Providence on May 27, 1944. He passed away at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center on February 17, 2019 after a battle with brain cancer.
Peter's parents, Dudley Robbins Shallcross and Hazel (Stevens) Shallcross, were owners of the Rhode Island Fish Company, where Peter started helping out as a little boy. Peter graduated from Barrington High School where he excelled at football, hockey, and baseball, forging lifelong friendships. After a year at Kimball Union Academy, he headed off to Boston College on a hockey scholarship, but felt he had to return to Providence to help run the Fish Company after his father's untimely death. Peter worked the rest of his entire life in the fish business as a successful sales specialist.

Peter leaves behind his beloved wife of 29 years, Elizabeth (George); his stepson, Jeff Latham, and Jeff's partner, Jessica Marin; as well as his stepdaughter, Joanna Lawlor, her husband, Owen, and their boys, Jack and Eamon. Peter is also survived by his first wife, Beverlee (Riccardi) Shallcross; their sons, Peter and Keith, and daughter, Lynne Nero, her husband, Christopher, and their children, Cameron, Britt, and Cole; as well as his brother, Steve Shallcross.

We wish to thank our family, neighbors, and friends for the outpouring of kindness, help, and support. God bless you.
