...from the jaws of victory

The Wildcats’ rematch with Tilton was a fast-paced hard-fought game that, like the first contest, went into overtime. This time, though, it was Tilton who came from behind. Anthony Fresolone opened the scoring – his first goal of the season – but the Rams scored quickly and the game was tied at one after the first period. KUA controlled the second period, scoring three unanswered goals, and looked to be in control, but Tilton scored twice early in the third to make it a game again. The rest of the third period was back and forth with each team having some good opportunities. Tilton pulled their goalie for an extra skater with just under two minutes left and scored to tie the game with 30 seconds remaining. The Wildcats killed off a penalty during the overtime period and had a shot at a wide-open net in the final seconds, but the game ended in a tie. Not a satisfying ending, but an exciting game nonetheless.
