Wildcats Settle for Tie with Holderness

Despite firing 57 shots on the Holderness net, the KUA Wildcats had to settle for a 4-4 tie on Saturday in Meriden. After a scoreless first period, KUA jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second on goals from Seth Stadheim (1G, 1A), Zach Taylor (1G, 1A), and Paul Dore (2G, 1A). However, during a five-minute major against KUA, Holderness potted two powerplay goals and then tied the game late in the period. Dora’s second of the game came on the powerplay midway through the third, but Holderness scored with an extra attacker with less than a minute to play to secure the tie. Zach Paputsakis made 23 saves for the Wildcats, who host Proctor Academy on Wednesday.
