KUA Moves to .500 for the First Time in Three Weeks

The Wildcats used two surges, one to begin the game and one to start the second half, to fend off a feisty New Hampton side, 60-48. KUA utilized some suffocating defense during both runs to turn into transition baskets. The 'Cats were led by captains Eli Jaynes (19 points) and Noah Spaulding (14 points), but were aided offensively by Simon Pelzman (6 points), Charlie Creelman (6 points), Jack Bolg (4 points), Kelvin Zhang (4 points), Hill Carter (2 points), Dan Salem (1 point), and Will Haynes (1 point). Bolg, in particular, had a strong performance, and Creelman and Zhang hit some clutch baskets towards the end of the encounter to extend the lead when New Hampton was trying to creep back in the game. To their credit, the Huskies never gave up and KUA needed contributions from everyone on the team, including Dan Salem, Caleb Nadell, Owen Xu, Dominick DaCruz, and Roger Liu, to emerge victorious.
