Bradford holds off KUA winning 76-71 in a close battle

The Kimball Union boys basketball team traveled to play Bradford Academy in a Monday night game and again fell just short, losing 76-71 in a hard fought battle between two AA rivals. The Wildcats struggled to find any tempo in the game, trailing by six at the half, 40-34. They put on a spurt to tie it early in the second half at 44 all only to see Bradford recover to led by seven. KUA battled back again late in the half to make it a three-point deficit with a minute left but failed to connect on two three at the end to lose by 5. Marc Dolgin shot well for KUA going 7-9 from three-point range to lead the Wildcats in scoring with 21 pts; Enoch Cheeks kicked in with 18 pts, and Will Engelhardt (15pts) and Antonio Jones (10pts) joined them in double figures The Wildcats return to action on Wednesday, traveling to Tilton Academy.
