KUA Falls In Overtime

The Wildcats played well in a match against Lakes Region rival Tilton but fell short in overtime. The Tilton Rams struck first with a powerplay goal early on and held that one-goal advantage for more than half the game despite sustained Wildcat pressure in their defensive zone. Cam Tucker scored on a partial breakaway early in the third period to tie the score, and the Wildcats went ahead on a blast by Griffin Hatley. The Rams counterattacked and tied the score, and scored again mid-way through the five minute overtime period to earn the win. A frustrating result, but the team saw strong performances from a number of players, including Jon Schafer who moved up to play forward for the day, and from Tyler Wenning who had a strong day in the KUA net. Next up is Selwyn House on Friday at 4:00 and then Cardigan Mountain’s Varsity on Saturday afternoon.
