Wildcats Beat Bobcats in Rematch

The Wildcats traveled to Wolfeboro, NH to play the Brewster Bobcats for a rematch. The team had a long warm up allowing them to recover from any bus legs after the long bus ride. We started the first half playing our game, the Wildcats kept the ball in their offensive side with Kelly Benson, Ellie Copeland-Clarke and Hanna Wiczek creating an unstoppable triangle on the right side. Benson scored the first goal in the first few minutes of the game. Wiczek scored the second goal shortly after with an assist from Sara Fucillo. The Wildcats earned 11 corners in the first half with strong midfield play from Copeland-Clarke, Hattie Kahl, and Yiwen Xu. In the second half, the Bobcats came out a bit stronger. Amelia Keith earned 5 saves in net as the Bobcats brought the ball into the Wildcats defensive circle. The Wildcats persevered and Wiczek scored 2 more goals for the Wildcats off of corners. Katie Ayers assisted the last goal. The WIldcats take a bit of a break and return to play next Friday night against Proctor Academy at 4:30.
