KUA wins away at Tilton

KUA survived a nervy first half that saw us dominate possession, but with Tilton having the better chances. The first half ended 0-0. In the second half the floodgates opened and it finished 6-1 to KUA.

The first half we had the majority of the ball in the Tilton half. However, they defended well and we were only able to make a couple of half-chances. Tilton should have scored two breakaway goals where they were one-on-one with the goalkeeper in the first half.

It was five minutes into the second half when the deadlock was finally broken. A great team goal from the left, Easton passing to Conner who fed Ethan Crandelmire to rifle a left footed shot into the right corner. We went 2-0 up moments later when Yuki played a long ball from the back up to Xavier, who was able to show his pace, through on goal he tipped it past the keeper. Tilton pulled one back from a corner kick to keep us on our toes. Jeremy Sigl took the game by the scruff of the neck and did a mazey run from the back past 4 or 5 players, eventually shooting hard at the goalkeeper who spilt the ball for Sean Donoghue to score from a tap in. Now the game really started to open up. Jake Wennik forced an own goal from a corner and he followed that up by skillfully danced past several players before scoring our 5th. Chris finished the scoring with another assist from Jake Wennik.

Our next match is against Cardigan Mountain School at home.
