KUA Earns Important Win on Holderness Day!!

Following an exciting win versus Proctor on Tuesday, KUA came onto the pitch today excited to use what they had learned against Holderness. KUA came out with guns blazing and took the lead in the first minute and a half with a powerful goal from Kelly Benson. Throughout the next five minutes, KUA kept fighting to keep the ball in the offensive zone, with excellent support from midfielders Ellie Clarke, Yiwen Xu and Hannah Wiczek. Eventually, the team was able to find the back of the net again through Katie Ayers! Holderness then took a time out and fired back, finding the back of the net after another fifteen minutes. KUA's defense, comprised of Sunny Sun, Tess Boden, Natalie Verde, Aleena Masaeng and Alexa Lambert and goalie Amelia Keith, worked together to prevent any further goals. In the second half, KUA began to find their offensive rhythm once again. In one moment during this pursuit, the ball was trapped on the left side of the midfield. Wiczek pulled the ball out and switched fields by means of Benson and Ayers. The last goal KUA scored was off of a cross from Benson to Hattie Kahl, who tipped the ball in from the post. KUA did a great job overall. It was a true team effort.
