Robert E. Graham

Robert Eldon Graham, 94, of Gloucester, husband of Patricia A. (Fitzgerald) Graham, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Everett, MA on July 24, 1924, son of the late James F. and Mary E. (Duggan) Graham.

Bob attended Melrose Public Schools, Kimball Union Academy, and graduated from Dartmouth College where he was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. He proudly served as a Lieutenant in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII as a P-51 combat pilot on Iwo Jima and was owner and president of Donald W. Gardner Advertising in Boston.

Bob and Pat spent many happy years in Wenham where they raised their family, later settling in Gloucester where they had first met. Bob was an avid golfer and had been a member of Salem Country Club, Beverly Golf and Tennis Club and was a long time member of Bass Rocks Golf Club in Gloucester. He loved playing hockey and skiing with his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by Pat, his wife of 62 years, his children Susan Graham Winslow of Gloucester, Karen (Graham) Woodes and her husband Gregg of Derry, NH, Trish (Graham) Smith and her husband Jerry of Boxford, MA; and Robert Graham and Natta Sukumalanon of Thailand; 9 grandchildren, Lexie, Sam and Keelie Winslow, Rebecca and Cassie Woodes, Skyler and Keegan Smith, Cammie and Caroline Foley, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Pamela Graham Foley; brothers, Edward, Richard and Alan Graham and son-in-law, Scott Winslow.
