Back to Back Wins for KUA Against Proctor

Another exciting one for the Wildcats today on Pope. After having just faced Proctor a few days ago, the home team was able to pull through with the win in the last few minutes, 11-10. Proctor came ready to compete and demonstrated their full strength as a team in a close battle end to end for the entire fifty minutes of play.

Sophomore, Kyra Russman '20, led the charge on attack notching the first goal of the game from a beautiful assist from freshman, Lexi Bartlett '21. KUA took a quick 3-0 lead in the opening of the game, but Proctor kept close on their heals always staying with two goals.

The second half was back and forth, but with a strong base on defense led by Senior Captain, Coreen Carley '18, the Wildcats were able to keep the ball out of our defending end. Up by one and with just under four minutes to play in the game, the Wildcats went into a stalled offense, showcasing their composure and poise under high pressure.

A close one for sure, clearly demonstrated by the end score, but one that required true grit and hustle. KUA will take this momentum into their Saturday home game versus Cushing at 4:00pm.
