KUA drops to Proctor

KUA drops to a deep Proctor team
On a much anticipated beautiful Saturday afternoon the Wildcats headed down to Proctor Academy with hopes of continuing their winning ways. KUA got off to a slow start dropping two hard fought singles matches by Alex Parsons and Izzy Gordon in the fifth and sixth slot. Keara Westover had her best match of the season coming back from being down to win 8-6. Sofia Garner played a very solid match and cruised to an 8-4 victory after a shaky start. Hannah Hillgrove, once again, had a great come back but was not able to close the entire gap and ended up coming up just short 6-8. Claire Sukhman, who played the number one spot, had a valiant effort but ended up losing in a tiebreak. Entering doubles KUA needed to win all three matches but was only able to pull out two. Sofia Garner and Hannah Hillgrove cruised to a quick 8-1 victory and Alex Parsons and Izzy Gordon won 9-8 (7-5 in a tiebreaker). Unfortunately, despite getting off to a quick start Claire Sukhman and Keara Westover lost 6-8. KUA looks forward to their first home match this Wednesday against Saint Paul's School.
