Great comeback for the Wildcats

Trailing by 2 goals at halftime, the KUA Wildcats played a great second half to get a tie on the day.  Aided by a strong wind, Austin Prep kept constant pressure on the Wildcat defense throughout the first forty minutes, scoring two goals and looking for more. The second half, with the help of the wind, the Wildcats created some pressure of their own with runs forward getting into Austin Prep's final third. Senior Mo McBride was fouled in the penalty area, resulting in Junior Summer Combe's scoring the penalty kick to bring the score 2-1. Then at the 55 minute mark, Junior Svia Russman-Araya scored from close range with assists going to Senior Emma Lapsley and Sophomore Addi Hubert. Both teams would have chances during the last few minutes of the match but neither team could find the back of the net. Sophomore Sylvie McClure played a solid second half making 4 saves on 4 shots. Wildcats are next in action at home on Wednesday November 9th at 4:00pm.
