Big road win gets the 'Cats back on track

On what felt like a summer day in Tilton, NH, KUA took care of business. KUA got off to a sluggish start and had to get their legs under them after leaving it on the field the night before. Though most of the play was in the Tilton end for the 1st quarter, things seemed to be just a bit off and passes weren't connecting and there were few shots on net. Scoreless after 1, the girls rallied and got back on track. After controlling there play, with just 3:05 left in the half, Ainsley Lonczak got the 'Cats on the board tipping home a sweep from Analena Connors. just 2 minutes later, Portia Berard went through half of the Tilton team, then laid off the ball for Ariana Ftorek to fire it home to increase the lead. After the half KUA cam out fired up and ready to put the game away. In the 3rd, Cam Callahan scored 2, Portia Berard and Mallory Clark scored 1 putting the game out of reach. In the 4th, with 2:30 left, McKenna Dockery scored her 1st ever field hockey goal to put an exclamation point on the game. As the final buzzer sounded and the team went to congratulate Stella Kozak on yet another shutout,, every player had a chance to get on the field and have an impact on the game. This was a great way to finish off a 3 game weekend and a made the bus ride home seem that much shorter. The Wildcats host Exeter on Wednesday, in what is sure to be a great game.
